The team is led by Steven Turner, with a commercial and financial background covering senior international roles in investment banking, mining and the oil and gas industry.
The team currently consists of a number of technical and commercial industry experts, each with 25 years+ operational experience.
Steven Turner – Managing Director
Ba (Hons) Banking and Finance. Fellow of the Chartered Accountants of England and Wales and is a Member of the Australian Institute of Directors. With 25 year's experience in the natural resource sector working in investment banking and in the industry with roles such as CEO, CFO, business development, commercial, strategy, and treasury.
He has previously been CEO of an oil and gas start-up company with backing from a major Middle Eastern investor; CEO of an oil technology group with City of London financial institutions as major investors; CFO of a $300M dual-listed oil producer operating in the North Sea and CFO of a $50M dual-listed uranium mining company operating out of Spain. Steven also headed up corporate finance for oil, gas, metals and mining for ABN Amro throughout Asia.
Steven has raised all forms of capital including vanilla corporate debt, convertible notes, public bonds, project financing, acquisition finance, and public and private equity. He has successfully executed acquisitions and divestments, joint ventures, sales agreements, and forex and commodity hedges.
Steven brings specific mining experience in gold, copper, zinc and lead having worked on deals in Australia, Ireland, South Africa and Zambia.
